Egg Drop Soup

November 10, 2014 Healthy Home Body LLCLeave a comment

I was never a big fan of egg drop soup when I used to go to Chinese restaurants, so I honestly have no idea why I even tried to make this recipe; I found it online (I’m not sure where), made it once, and couldn’t believe how wonderful it tasted.  Since then, I’ve made it…… Continue reading Egg Drop Soup

This website is dedicated to helping the reader towards better health by taking a holistic, natural approach with a special emphasis on the digestive system. The first night that we had the goats in their new winter shed was a bit chaotic, to say the least. Goats have a definite "pecking order" when it comes to who's boss, and unfortunately, the young ones in our herd are at the bottom of that list. . When everyone was locked in the new shed for the night, the pecking order was shook up. They couldn't just kick the little guys out of the shelter like they had done during the summer months, because there was nowhere for them to go. . I really worried how safe the smaller ones would be through the night, so I brought a diffuser out to the goat shed and loaded 15-20 drops of lavender in it. Twenty minutes later, all the crabbies were eating hay peacefully, and no joke everyone was a whole lot nicer for the next couple of days! . Now if only there was a way we could create a diffuser big enough to cover the whole world ... . . . #lavenderforthewin #chillgoats #dontfightaroundme #iwillbringouttheoils
Our next project has begun: hatching these sweet babies! ❤️ In 21 days, hopefully we'll have a bunch of little fluff balls running around that will grow up and lay a rainbow variety of eggs 🌈 Praying we don't hardboil them first 😬 . . . #newbies #hatchingeggs #homeschoolproject #farmkids #reallife #wheredoesyourfoodcomefrom #knowyourfarmer #farmboys #momlife #homeschooling #homesteading #farmlife #chickfever #babychicks #eggs #organicfarming
It's finally starting to feel like we're home ❤️ This beautiful rug from @unique.loom arrived yesterday and it made everything come together. Now to find some curtains (@ikeausa here I come!) and maybe a few more plants (because #crazyplantlady ) and I'm gonna call this room done! . . You know how you can tell that you're a mom of growing boys? When you leave your warm fire and brave the record cold temps and icy roads to make a Costco run 🥶😉 Because if you don't, things gonna get real scary real fast! . . . #hungryboys #alltheywannadoiseat #isitspringyet
Are your genes dirty? . There's a simple answer to that question: if you breathe and eat and don't live in a bubble, chances are pretty high that to some degree yes, your genes are dirty. When our genes are "dirty" (whether they were born that way or our environment made them so), this can ultimately lead to chronic health problems, emotional and hormonal imbalances, heart disease, depression, obesity, cancer, and so much more. If you have a family history of these things or experience them personally, read on 👇👇👇 . Thankfully, we can help to clean up our genes and we DON'T have to be a "victim" of our genetics. Just because something "runs in the family" doesn't mean it's inevitable. We can actually change how our genes express! I find this fascinating!! . Over the next week, I'll be talking more about how we can optimize our health using simple steps (follow my InstaStories). And I highly recommend that you check out @drbenlynch and his book "Dirty Genes"! It will change the way you look at your health ❤️ . . . #dirtygenes #cleaninghacks #knowbetterdobetter
Tips for surviving daylight savings/"fall back" time change: Since the time is already changing tonight, it's a little late to slowly transition your body to an earlier bedtime over the course of the next week or so 😬 -- but that doesn't mean all is lost! Tonight, try to get to bed earlier than usual. Load your diffuser with your favorite sleep-inducing oils, and rub some frankincense all over your head. Over the course of the next week, if you're feeling sluggish during the day, try diffusing equal amounts of lemon grass, lime, and rosemary oil for alertness. Ningxia Nitro can help enhance your focus too. Stay hydrated. Take short power naps if you need to. Rub some AromaLife over your heart and the sides of your neck for circulatory support (studies show an increase in heart related events around the seasonal time changes). Make sure you go out and get some early morning sunshine to help your circadian rhythm to transition. And if you have kids, stick them in a warm bath with Epsom salts infused with lavender and cedarwood, rub them down with a massage oil containing lavender and cedarwood, and load that diffuser up with lavender and cedarwood in their bedroom. Because goodness knows that kids won't appreciate that extra hour of sleep and will be up with the birds tomorrow ... Grease them up, and you'll be smiling in gratitude tomorrow 😉 {Goodbye daylight ❤️ See you next year} . . . #daylightsavings #winteriscoming #darkdays #hanginthere #theresanoilforthat
