Local CSAs (Community Supported Agriculture):
Harrison Market Gardens – This is currently the CSA that my family uses. We pay for a seasonal share where we visit the farm twice a month and harvest available produce. We first had a share in 2018 and loved having extra fresh produce to supplement what we grow in our own garden! (The owners of the farm, do not spray any of their produce and use only organic growing methods. You have an option with this CSA to have them pick the produce for you and you pick it up, or a “U-Pick” option where you harvest your own, which is what we did in 2018. You also can choose weekly or biweekly options). They are located in Winnebago, IL.
Upbeet Produce – You receive a weekly box of vegetables that are harvested by the farm owners, but you are also welcome to come out and visit the farm anytime. They offer three different share options: Full Share (feeds 2-3 people), EOW Full Share (provides a full share every other week), or a Double Share (feeds 4-6 people). They have pickup locations on Wednesdays at two places in Janesville, WI and also a pickup at their farm in Edgerton, WI. ** Their produce is certified USDA Organic **
