Many recipes that call for coconut tend to be on the sweeter side, so this quick treat is a nice change as it adds a little salt and spice 🙂

Savory Coconut Flakes
1 cup unsweetened coconut flakes (NOT shredded coconut)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. virgin coconut oil, melted
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper.
2. Put all of your ingredients (except the coconut oil) in a ziplock bag and shake to mix. Pour the coconut oil into the bag and shake again until mixed thoroughly.
3. Spread on the baking sheet. Bake 3 to 5 minutes (until lightly golden brown); watch carefully so that it doesn’t overbrown or burn.
