My boys have both had different yeast issues through the years. On occasion, my youngest will get a painful, itchy, peeling red rash on his bottom. The last time he had it, it was pretty intense for a while. So I came up with this gentle yet effective antifungal cream to help heal his rash and ease his symptoms.
This cream can be used several times a day, and it works right away to help with the intensity of the discomfort and slowly helps the fungal rash to go away.
Homemade Antifungal Cream
4 Tbs. organic shea butter
2 Tbs. organic virgin coconut oil
10 drops of Melrose essential oil (purchase essential oils here)
10 drops of lemon myrtle essential oil
5 drops of cinnamon bark essential oil
Melt the shea butter and coconut oil in a glass Mason jar placed in a saucepan of water over low-medium heat. Remove jar from the pan after everything has melted, allow to cool for about 10 minutes, and then add the essential oils and allow to cool completely on the counter (you can leave the mixture in the original glass jar or pour it into separate smaller jars if you wish). Shake the jar gently every 15 minutes or so until it solidifies. You can double this recipe easily.
