Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

This is another hot recipe to warm you up this winter 🙂

This peppermint white hot chocolate is creamy and very rich.  For those who are trying to avoid high oxalate foods, hot chocolate using cocoa butter is lower in oxalates than regular hot chocolate made with cocoa powder.  It is still, however, an advanced food to be enjoyed after healing has taken place on the GAPS Diet, and is meant for an occasional treat.

And thank you to Loving Our Guts for this recipe!

Peppermint White Hot Chocolate

1 oz. organic cocoa butter

1/2-1 tsp. organic vanilla extract

1-2 drops peppermint essential oil

2 organic pastured eggs

1/4 tsp. sea salt

3 Tbs. raw honey

2 cups boiling water

1 Tbs. gelatin (optional)

Blend until smooth.

When using essential oils for flavoring your foods, not all essential oils are safe to take internally.  Please contact me for more information about which essential oils I recommend.

Stay warm!
